With a dynamic background spanning over 15 years in health and safety, Jo Kelly is an invaluable asset to our team as a WHS Consultant. Jo’s expertise covers a wide range of industries, including hospitality, retail, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, education, and care. Her ability to adapt and communicate effectively makes her not just a consultant, but a relatable partner to our clients. Jo’s hands-on approach and keen attention to detail in reviewing and developing documentation to suit specific workplace environments and cultures have been pivotal in fostering a positive WHS culture across various business types.
A career highlight for Jo was the successful transition from the UK to Australia, a testament to her adaptable nature and deep understanding of WHS in diverse contexts. She thrives on seeing the tangible progress and heightened engagement of clients, driven by the solid relationships she builds with them.
Always looking to grow, Jo is excited about further training to expand her expertise. Outside of her professional life, she is a family person at heart, cherishing time spent exploring Australia’s wonders with her husband and two young children. Caylagh Perrie began her journey in the field of Occupational Health and Safety in 2020, stepping into the role of Health and Safety Advisor. During the pandemic, she earned her Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, solidifying her commitment to ensuring the well-being of others in the workplace. Since then, she has had the privilege of working across a range of industries, including manufacturing, marine, mining, and traffic management. These diverse experiences have equipped her with a broad understanding of the unique safety challenges and opportunities in various environments.
Currently, Caylagh is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a major in Occupational Health and Safety and is nearing the end of her second year. Her academic journey is enhancing her practical knowledge with a solid theoretical foundation, preparing her for more complex challenges in the field. She thrives in dynamic and ever-changing environments, where she can apply her skills to create safe, efficient, and compliant workplaces. Her passion for promoting safe work practices is driven by a deep belief in the importance of protecting both workers and the integrity of operations.
Outside of work and study, Caylagh’s life is filled with activities that keep her connected to the things she loves most. She cherishes the time spent with her family, friends, and her Border Collie x Aussie Shepherd, who brings energy and joy to their daily lives. They often enjoy the outdoors through trips to the beach, long walks, or simply playing together in the backyard or at the local playground. Her love for the ocean extends to her hobbies, she is an avid surfer and skater.
In addition to her active lifestyle, Caylagh is a dedicated sports fan, particularly when it comes to AFL and NFL. Whether she’s watching a game at home or catching up on the latest sports news, she finds inspiration and excitement in the world of sports.

Daniel Paxby is a dedicated WHS Consultant with a solid foundation in HSEQ management. He brings extensive experience in identifying and mitigating risks and leading management systems audits to Safety Solutions WA. Daniel is known for his excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and adaptability, making him a valuable asset in promoting a culture of safety.
Before joining Safety Solutions WA, Daniel gained his expertise in various roles within the industry. At The Department of Premier and Cabinet, he managed WHS governance, compliance, and documentation, supported training programs, and liaised with stakeholders on injury management and safety concerns. During his tenure at IKAD Engineering, he played a key role in maintaining and reporting on the HSEQ Management System, conducting inspections, and leading audits. At Support Vehicles Australia, he focused on hazard identification, safety system development, and accident investigation.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys exploring the city with his wife, seeking out new adventures and culinary experiences. He stays fit through gym sessions, marathon training, and outdoor activities like hiking. When relaxing, Daniel can often be found reading fantasy and personal growth books, in gaming sessions with friends, or planning his next holiday destination.
As a child, Daniel dreamed of a career in the mining industry, but his dislike for the heat led him to a city-oriented life where he could enjoy outdoor activities for leisure.
Joeline has a diverse professional background, starting as a dental nurse right out of school. She quickly moved up to managing dental practices and later expanded her expertise to overseeing medical centres.
During her time in Karratha, Joeline managed an Occupational Health Clinic, taking charge of staff training, drug and alcohol testing, and conducting general medical assessments at various sites.
When she returned to Perth, Joeline joined the Western Australia Police, where she faced both physical and mental challenges. Her time in the police force sharpened her ability to communicate effectively in all kinds of situations. Joeline is deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of others, whether it’s physical or mental health.
Joeline is passionate about mental health awareness and is dedicated to helping workplaces and individuals support mental well-being. She believes that fostering a healthy mind is essential for creating safer and more positive environments in all areas of life.
She has also served as a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator, where she stepped into a workplace that lacked safety protocols and successfully built a team dedicated to prioritising health and safety. Joeline even created a new safety slogan, “Everyone Be Safe Every Day,” to reinforce the importance of safety in every task.
Joeline’s passion for worker safety comes from her strong desire to ensure that everyone returns home safely to their families at the end of the day.
As a kid, Joeline always dreamed of joining the police, and she did just that!
Nicola has experience in the private and public sectors. Some of these have been around civil construction (roads), defence, disability services, construction, and the legal sector. Nicola has worked in and consulted with multi-site and multi-state organisations across varying industries.
Nicola is compassionate, open-minded and solutions focused. Her honest and practicable approach means that she brings all options to the table and collaborates with the client to assist them to come to a usable solution to their WHS.
One of Nicola’s favourite projects has been the Armadale Court and Police Complex. Nicola started on the project when the dirt was freshly turned. Nicola feels lucky enough to still be auditing that project as it nears completion. Nicola has enjoyed seeing all stages of the project and the various risks that come with each of those.
Nicola spends most of her spare time is spent with her family – her husband and 3 boys. They love camping, getting away in their caravan and exploring the beauty of Western Australia and beyond into the rest of Australia. Nicola also loves getting out on her paddle board whenever she can.
Nicola is a huge fan of Jungle Body. Nicola loves any exercise that’s disguised as dancing to great music. She always leaves the class smiling.
Nicola also loves the footy “Go the Dockers!”
When Nicola was growing up, she wanted to be an equestrian horse rider, rock star, chef, psychologist and midwife.
Josh comes to us as a Navy Veteran with experience in communication and fibre optics. Josh also has experience in sports and events, civils and construction.
Josh is easily approachable and communicative with the ability to be straight to the point with issues that require hard decisions and thought. Josh has the unique ability to strip back the cover of a situation and bring out the root cause to find a reasonable and practicable solution for the client.
Josh’s favourite projects he has worked on to date have been a large Synergy Kwinana Project and the refurbishment of the Karrinyup Shopping Centre.
Josh enjoys the variety in consulting – the ability to walk into a business and change perspective, educate people, and improve safety culture by making sure that people know how to be safe in the workplace.
Josh is our other nerd in the team – Mediaeval Swordplay, Dungeons and Dragons, and tabletop gaming. He also plays ice hockey and is an amateur writer.
Josh also enjoys spending time with his two girls.
As a kid, Josh has always wanted to join the military, a dream he followed. Now if money was not an option, or he wins the lotto, he would go back to school to become a lawyer.
Lucy has a comprehensive background spanning different areas of consulting, the disability sector, the construction industry, retail and occupational hygiene works, including extensive experience in mould, fire, and sewerage remediation and testing, as well as disaster restoration.
Having worked in Queensland, South Australia, and Perth, she has developed a nuanced understanding of regional safety regulations and best practices, enabling her to tailor solutions that meet the specific needs of each environment.
Lucy thrives on collaboration and finds joy in working alongside diverse teams across different industries. Her passion lies in fostering a safety culture change within organisations, and she takes pride in bringing teams together to understand and drive this essential transformation.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Lucy enjoys exploring the great outdoors. Whether it’s taking the caravan out for a weekend getaway, embarking on a challenging hike, or firing up the BBQ. She is also an avid photographer, capturing moments both on land and from the sky with her drone.
Lucy is a dedicated sports enthusiast; she particularly enjoys watching AFL and cricket but will watch any sport she can. She is a proud GWS supporter and the Crows in AFLW.
Clarissa has a strong background in mining and farming as well as construction, manufacturing, healthcare, education and hospitality.
Clarissa is a passionate, insightful and honest worker. Her caring and thoughtful nature shines through when she is working with clients to guide them through their WHS issues to find reasonable and practicable solutions.
Favourite projects of Clarissa’s have been working in the Kimberley and with the WA Museum.
When Clarissa is outside of work, she enjoys catching up with friends, date nights with her husband, shopping, massages, roller skating and spring cleaning.
When Clarissa was younger, she wanted to be an Accountant or Vet.
Eryn has many years of experience in mining and maritime/defence/construction. Prior to these industries, she worked in several different fields which have taught her many skills that she can transfer to any client setting she works in.
Eryn has an exceptional ability to see a situation from several angles. She is helpful, perceptive, diplomatic, idealistic and has a wicked sense of humour.
Eryn enjoys upgrading existing systems to make them easier for clients to implement, and to improve efficiency and usability. If developing a new system from scratch, she strives to build the system to be user-friendly and workable for the client. Eryn has a strong passion to understand the client, their expectations and wants and delivering what they asked for, and beyond with other aspects, the client didn’t know they needed however would assist them to excel with their WHS.
When Eryn isn’t at work, she loves to have adventures with her family – making forts, swimming, and ice skating. Eryn also loves to create – paint, and tie-dye. Eryn likes to potter in the garden, read, and work on personal improvement and philosophizing.
When Eryn was growing up, she wanted to be a lawyer, teacher and singer (all at the same time – even when young, she was very ambitious).
Brandon engages with new and existing clients, building relationships and developing proposals.
With a diverse background ranging from HSEQ Support to General Manager roles across various sectors, he has developed a comprehensive skillset in safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. Brandon’s expertise is demonstrated through his adeptness in developing and implementing WHS systems, and his experience in conducting thorough audits that encompass safety legislation, design practicality, and methodology assessments. His proactive approach in leading safety training initiatives is underpinned by a commitment to cultivating a safe and productive work environment.
Brandon is particularly motivated by opportunities to foster change in workplace culture, driving growth, adaptation, innovation and support for a mentally and physically healthy and safety-conscious environment.
Outside of his professional realm, Brandon is a creator at heart, with a deep passion for art, photography, 3D design and building projects. He relishes the challenge of designing and constructing a variety of projects, from artistic installations to functional items, guided by a philosophy of creative iteration and optimal functionality. An avid reader, he has a keen interest in psychology and personal development, showcasing his dedication to continual learning and growth.
As a child, Brandon was drawn to the magic of cinematography and the precision of engineering design, envisioning a career that intertwined creativity with technical ingenuity.
Bree keeps track of our client’s and team’s schedules, staff training, mentoring and quality assurance of Safety Solutions WA’s deliverables.
She has broad WHS experience, having worked within the manufacturing, primary industry, hospitality, construction, landscaping, aged care, educational, arts and facilities management sectors.
Bree is a cool nerd (the Star Wars, gaming kind of nerd) but also loves the outdoors.
The favourite project Bree’s worked on is the refurbishment of the WA State Mortuary and enjoys working within the construction space over most other industries.
In her spare time, Bree gets outdoors with her family, and enjoys reading (fiction novels and graphic novels), gaming, making and wearing cosplay outfits, travelling and cooking.
If she wasn’t keeping the reigns in control of our team, Bree would have liked to have been a Doctor.
Graeme is an experienced and passionate safety professional with expertise in risk assessment and management, WHS inspections/audits, and incident investigations.
Prior to establishing Safety Solutions WA in 2010, Graeme was a WorkSafe WA Inspector and a Detective in the WA Police Force, as well as working in safety roles in the private sector.
His experience in WHS covers multiple industries, as Safety Solutions WA’s clients cover everything from small family-owned businesses, to large corporations and Government Departments.
Graeme takes the leadership role and shares his knowledge and experiences with his team to provide the best working experience for them as he possibly can, in order for them to help make our clients’ workplaces safer.
In his spare time, Graeme’s a boatie (from which he fishes/dives / surfs), loves travelling and cooking and has two kids that he says are growing up way too quickly!
When growing up, he wanted to be a Marine Biologist and spend his life travelling the world diving.
